The Siltstopper

Chemico and Erosion Control Co Ltd have recently added lamella, or inclined plate, clarifiers to their arsenal of dewatering equipment. These lamella clarifiers provide a large settling area within a relatively small footprint making them the perfect option for space constrained sites. The inclined plates in the units minimise the distance that suspended particles need to travel to drop out to the bottom, promoting sedimentation and increasing overall efficiency. Most of our lamella clarifiers are equipped with a duel chemical dosing system that can significantly improve the performance of the lamella clarifier. The flocculant is injected into the water line before the lamella. The water then passes through a static mixer to both mix and give the flocculant time to start the flocking process.

Erosion Control can design a full dewatering system providing the pumping equipment, pre-settlements tanks, lamella clarifier flocculent dosing and pH adjustment.

These systems are fully automated to allow clients to work on what they're best at while not having to worry about water issues. We also offer full instillation, monitoring and maintenance support and expertise to clients.

Designed as a small footprint device to assist with treating water

Our Lamella clarifier has 47m² effective surface area

Water is usually pumped into the Lamella clarifier where it can be treated with a flocking agent and a ph modifier if required. The water then passes through a static mixer and then over the lamella plates.

We run both 2 and 3 inch versions with a flow capacity around 30m³ hour in the lamella clarifiers.

When running concrete wash through the lamella clarifier we can set up a 7.0 PH adjustment system under the outflow. The PH adjuster can also handle 30 m³ hour ensuring that the water exiting the system its fully compliant with environmental requirements.
